Be a part of Portslade's 1000 year old history - NOW FULLY BOOKED

Starting in April, we will be running two courses, both aimed at enjoying, enhancing and preserving Portslade's 1000 year old history.

The first course - starting on April 13th - will run over ten weeks between April and September. It is ideal for those who have an interest in local history and /or writing. The course is designed for complete novices, as there will be plenty of professional support along the way. The end target is to produce 11 information boards, which will detail Portslade's hisotry fro 1066 onwards. The boards will be on display at the site of the Old Manor. We will also add the info to our history website, including voiceovers and pictures.

The second course - starting in May - will be looking at grounds manitanance and preservation of the site. Volunteers will learn all the skills required to ensure the historic site is kept in a safe and welcoming state for visitors for years to come.
